ORLANDO – The UCF women’s soccer team (18-4-0) will find out its next opponent Monday at 4:30 p.m. when the NCAA announces the 64-team field for the 2002 NCAA Women’s Soccer Championship. UCF, which won its second consecutive A-Sun Title over Jacksonville 3-2 Saturday, earned the automatic bid to the tournament.

The women’s soccer team will gather at the Gators Dockside at Waterford Lakes Monday at 4:15 p.m. to watch the announcement of the 64-team NCAA bracket on ESPN News. NCAA Tournament play begins on Nov. 15.

The Golden Knights rallied past JU 3-2 for the school’s eighth conference crown, the most of any A-Sun institution. The 2002 campaign has been a storybook season for UCF as the Golden Knights have set a school record with 18 victories in 2002.

Sophomore midfielder Allison Blagriff captured A-Sun Tournament MVP honors in leading the Golden Knights to the conference crown. Blagriff scored two goals in two games to help guide the Golden Knights. Five other Golden Knights garnered all-tournament honors including Courtney Baines, Summer Savage, Jessica Kuhlman, Jackie VanLooven, Jennifer Montgomery and Blagriff.
